About this Newsletter

This e-newsletter contains recommendations for ways to help Ukraine and what to read/follow/watch etc. to better understand Ukraine in light of the Russian invasion.

I try to use my knowledge of Ukraine to connect you with people and organizations that need help now — not in three months or six months when they get a grant.

I also share links to resources that I have found particularly notable, thought-provoking, or masterful in their treatment of the invasion or Ukrainian politics, culture, and history. However, inclusion in the newsletter ≠ full endorsement.

About Me

My name’s Megan Buskey, and I have been traveling to, studying, and writing about Ukraine for almost 20 years, including spending a year as a Fulbright Fellow in Lviv and Kyiv. I am half-Ukrainian, and most of my mother’s family still lives in the country. In recent years, I have been focusing on writing a book about my family’s experience in Ukraine during and after World War II. You can read more about me and my work at my website http://www.meganbuskey.com. You can also follow me on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, where I’m sharing photos and stories when I think they have something to add.
